The first day of March 2010 started off with a bang on the North Shore of Oahu with 20ft+ face surf rolling through at Waimea Bay. This was my 3rd session out there and the largest of any of the other 2 sessions. The trade winds were blowing a bit strong and made for challenging conditions in the 3 to 4 times overhead surf. Here are a couple quick videos from pre & post surf. Sammy, thank you for lending me your 8’6″ which ended up buckled after I went over the falls backwards on a triple overhead wave that the wind held up on my drop. It was also my first experience of being caught inside in the impact zone while 20ft + faces unloaded right in front of me. All in all…an incredible experience in my surfing life…I love it!!!! Aloha!!
