How To Make It For 10 Years Of Marriage? [ Life Is Better With You]
On November 28th, 2013 Brian and I will be celebrating 10 years of marriage, 5 years of traveling the world together and 15 years of our relationship. To many that may seem like a short time, to others a grand accomplishment, but to me its just right.
I love the words of this song by Michael Franti. ” Life Is Better With You”. These lyrics pretty much describes why I say ” It’s Just Right”. ( see lyrics below)
Life, marriage and relationships have so much pressure everyday through media, movies and any false representation of what is real. The facts are the facts…..being married to the same person for 10 years is not easy, but neither is child birth and women have babies everyday but can’t seem to keep their marriage in tact when the pushing gets tough. The easiest thing to do is to blame the other person, get pissed off and then either live in hatred or get a divorce.
Now, I am no relationship specialist…quite the opposite I would say, but this is what I know.
Life is better with someone that you can trust, love and count on for support.
Does this mean its always going to be Rosie?
Not at all, in fact if you don’t go through difficult times in your marriage then I really don’t think you are being completely honest with your relationship. 2 Human beings living together and experiencing life together forever is not completely understood. People deserve to be free to experience life and others, ( don’t jump on this one) I am not promoting adultery, multiple partners, cheating or any other situation you can strum up from my comment.
What I mean is in a marriage if you are together with someone ( or you are) smothering, controlling or jealous you are at the start setting up to fail. A relationship should be great friends that want to see each other grow, thrive, and be challenged.
I remember when Brian and I first met, he was super goofy and I was super uptight….He bugged the heck out of me, but there was something about him that made me laugh and get out of my comfort zone of always being so serious.
Since we have been married, we have gone through some massive up’s, down’s , sideways and all around’s, from our relationship, to parenting, to business to…..Hell, you name it!
He pisses me off, he isn’t like me and he doesn’t do things like I do……and that’s ok . ( not to say I like it) but it’s ok.
We have grown in our relationship to understand that issue are what we make them, and there is a reason why God, Universe or Cupid put us on this earth together as a married couple.
You see, together we have realized ” Life is Better” with each other.

We have a bigger vision being together than just a married couple. We have a purpose and an energy that we have created together that cannot be broken. Our daughter came into our lives ( we believe) to make us better people and to give us more hope in humanity and the beauty of this world, and we are on a mission to shed as much as that vibrational energy to everyone we come in contact with.
So this month is a celebration of accomplishment as a woman, a mother, a wife, a business owner and a human.
